Wil Wheaton blogged about this earlier today, but I’m going to recycle the info in the name of educating the blogosphere. (I know many of my readers follow his blog as well – sadly, the reverse is not true – and to you folks, I apologize for the duplication.)
DailyLit.com offers a whole ton of public domain books in small daily chunks delivered to you by email or RSS feed for free. Read anything from Shakespeare to Jane Austen to the Bible. Go around the world in 80 days, visit Treasure Island, or the land of Oz. You get a new small chunk (seems to be around 700-800 words) every day or a few times a week as per your request. Pretty spiffy. And great for people like me who don’t have much time for curling up in peace and quiet with a book, but occasionally can snatch 10 minutes here and there.
So now you know, and knowing is half the battle.
