Radiolab Recommendation

RadioLab

This is just a short one. I was binging on the Radiolab podcast today, in so much as one can binge on Radiolab anyway. When I've finished one episode, I always feel like I need to stop and take some time to reconsider my outlook on life. Or at least to reconsider my outlook on my outlook on life, if you can dig that.

Anyway, I came across this one that considers different methodologies and philosophies regarding conservation of endangered species, specifically those that fall into the big game category. It was fascinating, and fairly even-handed, I thought. It's possible that it's not appropriate for those of you that are particularly tender-hearted; I'll leave you to your own governances on that point. But if you're up for it, and if this issue concerns you, I encourage you to give a listen. I'm not saying that it changed my world-view or anything. But it made me stop and consider that world-view and what fuels it, and think about the issue from a one-step-removed kind of perspective.

That's a good thing.
