Making a Playlist and Checking it Twice

Christmas music is one of favorite parts of the season. I look forward to it every year, and over time I've curated a rock and jazz collection of holiday tunes of which I'm very fond.

I never let myself listen to Christmas music before December 1st if I can help it. (I can't forbid the grocery store from playing "Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer" on November 1st. Yet.)

On account of my laptop's lamented demise this fall, and in conjunction with a move and the approaching holidays, both of which postponed the acquistion of a replacement, my mobile devices had been untethered from my larger music collection and thus without my holiday tunes until just last week. In the interim, I've been hanging around on internet radio hunting for Christmas stations.

This strategy has its draw backs. For example, for a frigtening 48 hours, I had "All I Want for Christmas is You" stuck in my head and could not get it out. But on the plus side, I found some new songs to add to my belated collection.

Here are my new picks this holiday season. If you've got any good ones, leave a comment.
