A couple of nights ago, I got into bed, closed my eyes, and cuddled up next to my husband... who had eight more legs than I was expecting.
It seems that I had become a hapless victim in a game of Hide the Spider. While I can embrace the festiveness of the game, I must say I'm not entirely in favor.
The seven year old thinks its the height of humor.
Last night I was looking for an early night. I crawled into bed around 10pm and found another creepy-crawly in the bed with me. This one was as big as a pizza plate, with wired fuzzy legs.
I marched it into the kid's bedroom and tried to look stern while he laughed himself hoarse.
I returned five minutes later with a garland of six more spiders I found tucked in down by my feet.
Mmm-hmm. So that's the way it's going to go, eh?
Anyone have a boa constrictor I might borrow? A ball python, maybe? Just a littlish one?
