Sorry about the radio silence. First I was overhauling the blog, then I was hauling the family around the state, and now I’m hauling myself through all the work I left behind, both domestic and professional.
It’s a long haul.
I spent a week out near Yosemite splashing in rivers and hiking up creeks. Have pictures; haven’t posted them yet. I also attended a wedding that should be the template for how awesome people get married; so say we all. Once again, have pictures; haven’t posted.
I’ve got some research going on for a big work project, and four knitting projects on various needles. That’s a bit much for even me. I did discover an awesome method for creating jog-less stripes for a single-stripe-thick pattern knitted in the round. If you knit and if you care, check out the second half of this tutorial - starting at time index 5:30 thereabouts - and prepare to have your socks knocked off.
The pun is intended only if you find it funny.
The new Crow is out and it’s even delivered to most of the bookstores now. Check it out. It’s fabulous. Awesome fiction and there is one new poet in there that I’m going to have to start stalking... In a strictly non-creepy, editor-type sense.
And if you’ve asked or have been meaning to ask, let me save you some breath. Yes, Jenny is still pregnant. And yes, she’s due tomorrow. And yes, I’ll tell you something when there’s something to tell and when I’ve been given clearance to do so.
Battlestar season 4.5 and Dollhouse episode 13 are both queued up in my Netflix queue for their eminent releases (thank you ComicCon) so don’t expect to hear too much from me next week either. I’ve got a planet to find, a mystery to unravel, and a whole lot of jaw-dropping to do.
But I’ll be checking in.
